Medserve Chair Receives MBE

We are incredibly proud to share that Dr. Ian Bowler is being awarded the Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) today in recognition of his “outstanding service to the community which has had a long-term, significant impact” through his years of selfless volunteering with MedServe Wales.

Dr. Bowler has been associated with the charity since 1998, dedicating over two decades to providing pre-hospital emergency medical care, often across some of Wales’ most remote and challenging locations. His tireless service has made a lasting difference to patients, colleagues and MedServe Wales.

Dr. Bowler has not only helped patients in their time of need, mentored countless nurses, doctors and paramedics, but he has also supported the developed MedServe Wales. From a small group of individual doctors responding in their own cars into the over 30 strong, multidisciplinary team we know today, made up of both Solo Responders and of Team Responders in our very own response vehicles (#DR01).

This honour is a truly well-deserved recognition of his exceptional contributions.
